Responsible Gambling
at bet808
Betting should be entertainment, not a burden. bet808 provides control tools, information and support so every player can enjoy a safe and controlled experience. This page outlines our approach to responsible gambling and how we help players stay in control.
Our Principles
Six Pillars of Safe Gambling
bet808 builds a responsible gaming environment based on these six core principles. Each one is designed to keep players having fun, not getting stuck.
Playing Time Limits
Set a daily or weekly playing time limit so your sessions do not exceed what you are comfortable with. When the limit is reached, the system will send an automatic alert so you can take a break and reassess.
Personal Deposit Limits
Manage your money more effectively with daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits. These limits can be reduced at any time, and any request to increase a limit requires a review period to protect your interests.
Temporary Break
If you feel you need a break, the temporary break option lets you pause your account for a while — whether for a day, a week or longer. Your account is safe and can be reactivated whenever you are ready.
Self-Exclusion
Players who feel that gambling is starting to have a negative impact can apply for long-term self-exclusion. This option blocks access to the account for a chosen period and helps break an unhealthy betting cycle.
Loss Limits
Set the maximum loss you can absorb within a given period. Once this limit is reached, the system will automatically end the session to prevent losses beyond what you planned.
24/7 Live Support
The bet808 support team is available in Malay and English every day, around the clock. If you have any concerns about your playing habits, contact us via live chat or email — without any judgment.
Protection of Young People
Why Age Limits Matter
Gambling involves financial decisions that require maturity and good judgment. Underage players are more easily influenced and less prepared to handle the risks involved. bet808 therefore takes active steps to prevent underage access to our platform.
Parents and guardians who are concerned about their children accessing gambling sites are advised to use parental control software to block access to gambling-related websites. If you suspect an account has been opened by an underage individual, please contact our support team immediately.
Any attempt to register using false information or another person's identity will result in account closure and further action in accordance with the platform's policy. Make sure your MyKad details are accurate during registration.
Know the Signs
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling rarely develops overnight. It usually grows gradually and can be difficult to recognise in yourself. Identifying the early signs is the most important first step.
If you or someone you care about is experiencing any of the signs below, do not wait for things to get worse. Contact our support team or refer to the help resources listed below. ⚠️
Betting More Than Planned
You often end up wagering far more than the limit you set before a session started, and find it hard to stop even when you intend to.
Chasing Losses
After losing, you keep playing in the hope of winning back what you lost — and this frequently leads to even greater losses.
Neglecting Family and Work Responsibilities
Time that should be spent on family, work or personal needs starts being sacrificed for betting sessions, and you begin to rationalise those decisions.
Hiding Gambling Habits
You feel the need to hide how much time or money you spend gambling from your loved ones, and start being dishonest about your betting activity.
Borrowing Money to Gamble
You borrow money from family or friends, or use credit facilities, solely to fund your continued betting activity.
Self-Control Tools
Manage Your Playing Experience
bet808 provides a range of control options accessible directly through your account settings. All of these tools are designed to help you stay responsible.
Self-Assessment
A short questionnaire to help you assess whether your playing habits are within a healthy range. Your results are private and not shared with anyone.
Deposit & Loss Limits
Set deposit or loss limits to suit your needs. Limits can be reduced immediately, while increases require a review period for added protection.
Temporary Break
Choose to pause your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or another period. All balances in your account remain safe throughout the break.
Self-Exclusion
For more serious needs, self-exclusion lets you close access to your account for a longer period, with the process overseen by our team.
How to Activate Control Tools
Log in to your bet808 account, then go to Account Settings and select the Responsible Gambling tab. All control tools can be accessed from there. If you have any difficulty, our 24/7 support team is ready to help via live chat or email.
